The distance from edge of thumb hole nearest to the center of the grip, to the edge of finger holes nearest to the center of the grip including all inserts and / or grips. (also referred to as True span or actual span). See the red arrows in attachment 1
Cut Span
Distance from edge of thumb hole nearest to the center of the grip, to the edge of finger holes nearest to the center of the grip excluding all inserts and / or grips. also referred to as Edge to edge span. Used by the pro shop operator for layout and drilling of the ball. See the red arrows in attachment 2
